What we generally perceive as quiet locations are, in reality, full of subtle ambient sounds and unique background noises. The Silence project is currently being filmed in the mountains of Banff Canada, the California desert  and the Colorado rocky mountains. This video installation takes the sounds of seemingly silent places in nature and splices them together, quickly and percussively cutting from one scene to another, to reveal subtle differences in ambient soundscapes.

 

The final installation will consists of 4 syncronized videos projected on 4 walls simultaneously creating an rhythmically immersive audio and video experience. Each of the four videos will loop in a different spot, creating a syncronized, yet constantly evolving performance.
